Who we are
MKM was founded in 2009 by Mary Myers Harrington, and is a full service time-share exchange and travel organization. We offer over 30 years industry experience.
In 1991 Mary started working for a timeshare developer of new project that involved a hotel being converted to a timeshare resort. She watched and learned as construction plans were only on paper until the project was completed, by then sales/marketing were both in full swing. Mary was involved in the turnover of the property management to the HOA from the developer when the property was eventually sold out. Over the years, Mary worked with HOA's, and management companies as well as many other vendors.
Mary observed first hand how many new owners while excited at first of their new ownership, grew frustrated rapidly as they tried to remember all the information provided to them at the time of the sales a year later when the owner wanted to start making reservations.
MKM staff under Mary's leadership and guidance take great pride in teaching owners how to get the most out of their ownership or membership. MKM offers awesome customer service and as a result we are rewarded with members' repeat business year after year.
Exchanges
We will be happy to search any area for you. We are successful with exchanges all over the US, and Hawaii, and Mexico, however, we specialize in Florida and Bahamas exchanges.
We search exchange requests first by doing a "regional" search based upon where and when you want to travel. We utilize multiple resources to obtain inventory; owners, developers and other timeshare exchange companies.
Once we find availability in the area you are requesting, someone from our office will contact you to tell you which resort(s) is available. At that time you can go online to check out the resort(s) we are offering. Then you can either accept or decline the resort being offered.
We know each traveler has their own special requests and/or needs for their own vacations and we want members to get the most from their timeshare exchange. MKM encourages its members to contact the resort directly if you have any particular questions or concerns about the property. This way you can decide if the resort offers what is important to you!
Some destinations will always require planning of up to a year or more, just as certain times of the year will also require that kind of planning. Exchange requests can be started up to 18 months prior to the anticipated travel dates. Obviously the more time you give us to search; the better the chances are that we can find what you are looking for.
